Rules and Regulations.
Purpose
The purpose of this sweepstakes is to increase our database of email recipients who are interested in receiving the Maui Kai Condominiums email newsletter, Maui Kai Enews, which contains special offers and promotional pricing from Maui Kai Ka'anapali Condominiums, and the Honolulu Publishing Company, Ltd. email newsletter, Land of Aloha, which contains interesting stories and photos about Hawaii, and select offers from some of our advertisers. After entering, you will receive at least one issue of each of these email newsletters. Each and every email newsletter contains a link by which you may unsubscribe if you decide you do not want to receive future issues. YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND OTHER INFORMATION WILL NOT BE SOLD OR PASSED ON TO ANY OTHER PARTIES.
Eligibility and Proof of Eligibility
Open to legal U.S. residents only. Entrants must be 21 years old or older. Only one entry per person allowed (must have valid email address and valid street address — no P.O. Boxes allowed). Multiple entries from any one person will be disqualified. Winner will be required to provide proof of eligibility. No purchase is necessary to enter.
Not Eligible
Employees, officers, directors of Maui Kai Ka'anapali, Honolulu Publishing Company, Ltd., Dollar Rent A Car, Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, Four Winds II, all advertising and sweepstakes agencies, their immediate family members and those living in the same household of each, are not eligible to participate in this sweepstakes.
Deadlines, Winner Selection and Notification to Winner
Entries must be received by January 31, 2011. Winner will be randomly selected, from all entries received, on or around Februrary 28, 2011. Winner will be notified by U.S. mail, phone and email. Confirmed winner will be posted on this Website as soon as possible.
Odds of Winning
Odds of winning will be determined by number of entries received.
Prizes and Values
Round-trip coach airfare for two people will be provided to Maui, Hawaii from any major U.S. airport (maximum limit of $1,000 for each round-trip fare). The approximate retail value for both fares is $2,000. Travel insurance is not included. Travel must be completed by February 28, 2012. Some blackout dates may apply, based on availability of the Maui Kai Junior Suite. The approximate retail value of the 7 consecutive night stay at Maui Kai Condominiums is $1,673. The approximate retail value of the Dollar Rent A Car 7 day car rental is $350. The approximate retail value of the Blue Hawaiian Helicopters Tour is $478. The approximate retail value of the Four Winds II Snorkel Tour is $111. The approximate retail value of all prizes is $4,612. Prizes are not redeemable for cash, are non-transferable and are not valid with any other offer. Winner is responsible for all applicable taxes and surcharges for all prizes. We reserve the right to substitute prizes of comparable value in the event that a prize is not available at the time of redemption.
Promotional Release
Winner will be required (except where prohibited by law) to complete and sign a waiver allowing the use of his/her name and/or image in future promotions of Maui Kai Ka'anapali and Maui Drive Guide, and on this Website, as related to this sweepstakes.
Alternate Entry Method
You may also enter by mailing a clearly-written letter, containing your full name, complete street address (no P.O. boxes accepted), email address, phone number, date of birth and a statement that you are a legal U.S. resident, are 21 years old or older and have read and agree to the Rules and Regulations of this sweepstakes. Causes for Disqualification and Alternate Winner
Multiple entries for any one person will disqualify all entries for that person. Falsifying any information in an entry or the required proof of eligibility documents will disqualify the entry for that person. Failure to provide proof of eligibility, failure to respond to at least one of the notification methods within 15 days of notification, and inability to claim the prizes will result in an alternate winner being randomly selected from the remaining entrants and could delay the announcement of the winner. Attempts to hack, tamper with, damage, divert or disrupt the online entry process are grounds for disqualification and could result in legal action being taken against the perpetrators. If we feel that the online entry system has been compromised, we reserve the right to suspend or discontinue it. Entry by U.S. Mail will remain in effect.
Governing Law
By entering, entrant agrees that all issues regarding these rules, their validity and their enforcement, as well as the rights and obligations of the sponsors and entrants shall be construed and governed by the laws of the state of Hawaii (except where prohibited by law). All suits or claims brought in connection with this sweepstakes must be brought in a state or federal court in Honolulu, Hawaii.
This sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, municipal, and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law.
